In collaboration with departments and programs across Cornell’s campus all CURT Scholars’ participate in an 8-week Pre-summer Research Exposure Program (PREP) and BioG3100: Preparing Future Researchers course each semester.
During CURT’s 8-week Summer Research Experience, prior to entering their first semester at Cornell, Scholars:
- Conduct research with assigned faculty researchers
- Collaborate and Interact with other Summer researcher (i.e. SILS, MBG REU, and OADI)
- Prepare to continue research into academic year
- Build community by interacting with other transfer students
Each semester BioG 3100: Preparing Future Researchers provides Scholars the opportunity to:
- Enhance scientific communication and writing skills
- Strengthen lab research skills and techniques to promote success
- Learn about Faculty research in various life science disciplines across campus through faculty presentations
